Dru Billions

MacArthur Andrew Harris Jr., professionally known as Dru Billions Xtraordinaire, is an independent recording artist, entrepreneur, producer, and creative visionary whose career spans more than fifteen years in music and entertainment. Born in Miami, Florida, Dru's life was forever altered at the age of seven when his father passed away from leukemia. Soon after, his family relocated to Concord, North Carolina, where resilience, determination, and creativity became the foundation of the man and artist he would become.

Influenced by his upbringing between South Florida and the Bahamas, Dru developed a sound that blends Alternative R&B, Reggae, Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz, and elements of Ambient music. Drawing inspiration from the golden eras of Hip Hop and R&B while embracing modern innovation, he has built a catalog that reflects both lyrical substance and artistic versatility. His mission has remained unchanged since day one: create meaningful art that inspires people to dream bigger, love deeper, and persevere through adversity.

Dru began his professional music journey in 2007 while studying Audio Production at The School Of Communication And Arts, now called Living Arts College. During this period, he founded APEHEAD Entertainment, L.L.C., his first independent record label and creative platform. In October 2009, he released his debut album, Always Pursue Excellence, introducing the personal mantra that would ultimately become the guiding philosophy for his life, business ventures, and creative pursuits.

Between 2011 and 2018, Dru released multiple albums, EPs, compilations, and collaborative projects while performing extensively throughout the Southeast. After relocating to Atlanta in 2011, he immersed himself in the independent music scene and expanded his reach as both an artist and entrepreneur. Over the course of his career, he has released thirteen full-length projects, performed more than 1,000 live shows, and helped produce over 500 events, creating opportunities for hundreds of independent artists to share their talents with the world.

In 2020, Dru expanded into acting and commercial work, eventually signing with Evolution Talent Agency. His growing presence led to appearances in campaigns for major brands including Best Buy and Puma, along with roles in independent film projects.

The following year marked a major transition as APEHEAD Entertainment evolved into Uptown INDE, L.L.C., a company built around music, entrepreneurship, community, and culture. He simultaneously launched his signature footwear brand, DBX Co., while continuing to release new music including Plan A: Take 31, Plan A: Volume 2, Lionheart and the powerful singles Done With Waiting, and Love Is.

The years that followed showcased Dru's growth as an artist. His 2023 album No Traffic featured fan favorites including "Get It Right," "What's Up," and "This Is Me." In 2024, he released Made In America, a project praised for its introspective lyricism and independent spirit. During this period he also collaborated extensively with fellow Charlotte artist Cureton 11, contributing to multiple releases including "So Special," "P.I.B.P.," "LOVE," "CHECK ON ME," "ICEMAN," "LIFE WE LIVING," and "DOPE," further expanding his reach and artistic versatility.

In 2024, following a successful appearance at the University City Juneteenth Art Fest and his first multi-city New York tour, Dru achieved a lifelong entrepreneurial milestone when Uptown INDE secured its first brick-and-mortar location. What followed, however, became one of the most defining chapters of his journey.

Like many entrepreneurs chasing ambitious dreams, Dru encountered challenges that forced him to re-evaluate everything. The original vision for the physical location ultimately fell short of expectations. Faced with difficult decisions, he stepped away from both the business and much of his music career to focus on personal growth, healing, and rediscovery. Rather than viewing the setback as failure, he embraced it as an opportunity to rebuild from the inside out.

That season of reflection became the catalyst for a creative rebirth.

Emerging with renewed clarity, Dru will be releasing Spirit of Hip Hop, a collaborative project with DJ Chase that pays homage to the culture that first inspired him. Built on classic sample-driven production, authentic lyricism, and the spirit of the Golden Age, the album celebrates the art form's roots while carrying its legacy into a new generation.

Shortly after, Dru returned to the studio with a deeper understanding of himself as both a man and an artist. The result is another album, Andrulini, a landmark project written,
