Sidewalk Stories Elizabeth ArtWalk
Hosted by ArtWalks CLT, this immersive walking experience features artist Eliza Dunaway, accomplished artist, sculptor, and CIAF Fellow, and John Short, who brings the neighborhood’s history and experiences to life through storytelling. Together, we will explore how art, culture, and place intersect in one of Charlotte’s most historic neighborhoods.
Rooted in place-based narratives, cultural history, and community identity, CLT Sidewalk Stories highlights the voices, creativity, and resilience that shape our city. Participants will engage with public art while learning about the people and stories that continue to define this area. CLT Sidewalk Stories is funded with a City of Charlotte Creative Growth Grant.
Whether you’re an art lover, history enthusiast, or curious neighbor, this ArtWalk offers a meaningful way to connect with Charlotte’s cultural landscape—one story at a time.
Our starting point is the 7th and Pecan intersection at the mural at the entrance to the parking deck. Our ending point is at the intersection of 7th and Hawthorne.
