NC Esthetics State Board Exam Prep Class
This comprehensive 2 day North Carolina Esthetics State Board Preparation Course is designed to prepare esthetics students and recent graduates to successfully pass both the NIC written examination and the North Carolina State Board practical examination required for licensure as a professional esthetician.
The course reinforces core competencies outlined by the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners, including infection control, client safety, skin analysis, and professional esthetic procedures performed within the approved scope of practice.
Students will review and apply all required theoretical and practical subject areas, including:
Infection control and blood exposure protocols
Facial treatments and massage
Hair removal
Skin diseases and disorders
Product safety, chemistry, and ingredient awareness
Use of facial machines and esthetic devices
Makeup application fundamentals
State board kit setup and procedural sequencing
Proper draping, sanitation, and disinfection procedures
Practical exam timing, grading criteria, and mock testing simulations
The course includes hands-on practice, instructor-led demonstrations, and state board-style mock practical exams to simulate real testing conditions. Students will also complete written exam review modules focused on scientific concepts such as anatomy, physiology, infection control, and skin science.
Upon completion, students will demonstrate competency in all required esthetics services and exam protocols necessary to meet North Carolina licensing standards and confidently pass the state board examination.
