This is a full day Serger/Sewing Workshop where you Learn how to thread a serger Create a balanced overcast stitch Learn about differential feeds and basic hemming technique Make 2 Projects: - A card wallet with woven fabric 2. - A basic t-shirt using knit fabric By the end of the class, you will be familiar with techniques needed to construct basic garments and other projects on a serger. You will apply what you learned by making a card wallet to take home and a T-shirt to be donated to charity! 🧵 Pre-cut Fabric for Wallet and T shirt, sewing tools, notions and a serger if you dont have one ( please let us know in advance/supply is limited). 🧵 If you have a serger, you are encouraged to bring it with its manual and 4 spools of thread/ with the following colors (blue, green, yellow, red) and white or grey serger thread ( 3 or 4), tweezers. You can bring regular machine thread if you can't find serger thread. Instructor: Pat Walker has over 50 years of sewing experience, including sewing, quilting, and serger techniques. We will break for lunch 12-1pm. Pack a lunch.
